Yes. But like all camping experiences it depends on how you use them. If you go to bed warm you will stay warm. Please wear appropriate clothing for our climate.

Are there midges?

Rarely. Uist has constant Southerly or Westerly breezes which keeps our small midge population dormant. In 2025 there were 157 midge free days in a 160 day season.

In winter we don't use the site for grazing animals - this also keeps midges away.

Yes. Our double pods have a double socket, our Overnighter and Family/Group pods have a double socket per bed. Each pod has electric lighting and WIFI.

All the pods are on relatively flat ground accessed across grass or gravel paths. There are mall steps to the pods and steps to the communal building. If you have any mobility problems please contact me to discuss. Our communal areas and bathrooms are all accessible.
